Green Fields 04:59
I was walking through those green fields As I walked I could hear their screams I was walking through those gray graves As I walked I could see myself. Fields of crosses, fields of innocence Who could kill them?… No one understands They were born to die, they were born to die. They died for something you don’t mind They were dying but we were so blind Not anyone can say “I’m sorry, your son was born to die”… Their parents cry and you know why. I was walking through those green fields As I walked I could feel a chill I was walking through those gray graves As I walked I could read your name, could see your face, I saw you dead. Fields of crosses, fields of innocence Who could kill them?… No one understands They were born to die, they were born to die. They died for something you don’t mind They were dying but we were so blind Not anyone can say “I’m sorry, your son was born to die”… Their parents cry and you know why they died. They died but they’d have to be alive Alive, alive, yeah, yeah Alive! They live in those green fields They were born to live They live in those green fields.

about

----------

GREEN FIELDS:
- Walking through a military cemetery from the World War II, wondering if it was worth that so many young soldiers lost their lives. Wishing they were alive, as in fact they are in the thoughts of the one who walks through those green fields sown with crosses.
